Indian Gangster Shootout in Court, 3 Dead

Three people died in a shootout incident in a New Delhi courtroom; Friday (24/9). The perpetrator and victim are reportedly part of two gangster groups in India.According to police; this incident occurred when the suspect in the case; who was the leader of the gang; appeared in court. Shortly after; two disguised men dressed as lawyers shot the gang in the head.

New Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said the two shooters were suspected to be members of a rival gang of the gangster chief. Police also returned fire and killed both attackers.

This incident made many people panic and run for cover during the shooting.

Responding to this incident; one of the officials of the Rohini Court; Arun Kumar; was of the opinion that lawyers who enter the courtroom must be given a special identity card. The goal is to reduce the risk of impersonation.

New Delhi Barrister Association president Sanjeev Nasiar said his party would review appropriate security measures for lawyers coming to court. Not only that; lawyers will also not work on Saturdays.
