Dementia in Progress – Covid-19 Effects

As we chat; McKinnon makes clear that she has no memories of all those cruises. No memories of buying the lizard or finding that oilcloth collage. She doesn’t remember any vacation she’s ever taken. In fact; she cannot recall a single moment in her marriage to Green or before it. World Health Organization warns Coronavirus disease situation dashboard presents official daily counts of COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide.

COVID-19

Before you start to brace yourself for one of those stories—about the onset of dementia; the slow dissolve of a marriage into a relationship of unrequited love; the loss of self—let me reassure you: McKinnon hasn’t lost anything. She’s never been able to remember those experiences.

For decades; scientists suspected that someone like Susie McKinnon might exist. They figured she was probably out there; living an ordinary life—hard to tell apart from the next person in line at the grocery store; yet fundamentally different from the rest of us. And sure enough; they found her (or rather; she found them) in 2006.

McKinnon is the first person ever identified with a condition called severely deficient autobiographical memory. She knows plenty of facts about her life; but she lacks the ability to mentally relive any of it; the way you or I might meander back in our minds and evoke a particular afternoon. She has no episodic memories—none of those impressionistic recollections that feel a bit like scenes from a movie; always filmed from your perspective. To switch metaphors: Think of memory as a favorite book with pages that you return to again and again. Now imagine having access only to the index. Or the Wikipedia entry.

Latest Update

“I know bits and pieces of stuff that happened;” McKinnon says of her own childhood. But none of it bears a vivid; first-person stamp. “I don’t remember being shorter or smaller or having to reach up for things. I have no images or impressions of myself as a kid.” She finds herself guessing a lot at what her experiences must have been like: She assumes the Cayman Islands were hot. Perhaps she and Green walked around a lot there. “It was probably sometime between 2000 and 2010;” she ventures.

Hamlet vs COVID-19

To be, or not to be: that is the question: whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them? World Health Organization warns Coronavirus disease situation dashboard presents official daily counts of COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide.

To die: to sleep; no more; and, by a sleep to say we end the heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation devoutly to be wish’d.

To die, to sleep; to sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub; for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause. There’s the respect that makes calamity of so long a life; for who would bear the whips and scorns of time, the oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely, the pangs of dispriz’d love, the law’s delay, the insolence of office, and the spurns that patient merit of the unworthy takes, when he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin?

Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death, the undiscover’d country from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will, and makes us rather bear those ills we have, than fly to others that we know not of? Thus consience doth make cowards of us all; and thus the native hue of resolution is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought, and enterprises of great pith and moment with this regard their currents turn awry, and lose the name of action.

Greatest Sci-Fi movie 2021

This has to rank as one of the all-time great sci-fi films ever made. It’s one of the most visually striking movies within the genre. It has a truly mind bending plot that teases the mind. People tell me the plot doesn’t make sense. I tend to disagree. If one concentrates enough everything is there. On repeated viewing it becomes all the more clear. World Health Organization warns Coronavirus disease situation dashboard presents official daily counts of COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide.

Sci-Fi movie

The performance by Bruce Willis still ranks as the best and most vulnerable he has ever given. The writers David and Janet Peoples have given Terry Gilliam a script that ranks up there with the best, if not the best within the time travelling genre. I’m eager to see the script that these two writers are penning for Christopher Nolan when he directs the tv adaptation of “The Prisoner” to film. That surely will be the movie event of that particular year to watch out for. These two writers have been responsible for some of the great films of cinema, from “Blade Runner” “Unforgiven” to “Twelve Monkeys” and now “The Prisoner”.

This is such an under-rated movie in the Sci-Fi movie genre, perhaps because it is more about the underlying themes than wowing us with big-budget special effects and explosions to keep the MTV generations attention for longer than 2 seconds. The script is astoundingly well written and perfectly expanded from the French short story it was based upon. Stephen, don’t feel bad, the movie itself is fairly confusing, but it’s meant to make you think rather than just throw the answers to life the universe and everything at the viewer. It jumps around quite a lot, mixing things up to keep the audience on their toes until they are at the point whether they too start doubting what is real and make-believe and whether this is all just a delusion. Watch the movie (a few times) and see if it makes more sense then.

Latest Update

Agreed. One of my all time favorite. The plot, sub plots and story are very deep and require an attentive viewer. This isn’t something you watch or read on a lazy Sunday while you are only 1/2 interested. I found the story to be mysterious and suspenseful. If it’s confusing or you don’t understand it, I agree with Bungo- watch it again. All the answers are there and the story wraps itself up nicely. I particularly like the last line of the movie, “I’m in insurance.” Brilliant.

Leaving Guinea to build a life in Europe

Guinean boys travel thousands kilometres to Europe for what they call ‘the adventure’; a journey essential to becoming “real men”. World Health Organization warns Coronavirus disease situation dashboard presents official daily counts of COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide.

Life in Europe

Life in Europe: They travel through the French Alps in sub-zero temperatures; without warm clothes and often without enough food to get to their final destination. A group of French people is helping the migrants who are lost to find their way.

The ones who survive ‘the adventure’ and make it to Europe are treated as heroes by their families back home. But what happens to the West African migrants in Europe?

In the previous episode; we told you the story of Mamadou Alpha; a young Guinean man who went on a dangerous migration journey called “tounkan”; or “the adventure” to find success in Europe.

In Guinea; this “adventure” is a rite of passage for some young men; who see the hardships and experiences they have on this journey as essential to becoming “real men”. Those who survive and make it; are treated as heroes; and those who fail; are shamed by their communities.

In Europe; the term “adventure” is often associated with great explorers; pioneers; and travelers hiking up mountains and sailing the great wide ocean to seek fortune.

Our story this week starts in the French Alps; where young men like Mamadou are crossing mountains. It is a different kind of adventure.

Why Tokyo Olympics 2020 were “commercialized”

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olymics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

The spirit is “peace in sports”

The Olympic Charter is a codification of the fundamental principles; rules and by-laws of Olympism adopted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In other words; it refers to the rules that stipulate how the Olympics should be and how they should be run. Iida) It is often described as an “Olympic peace festival;” but does that mean that the Olympic Charter incorporates the ideas around it? Kasuga) Well; the International Olympic Committee (IOC) was established in 1894; and what it asked for was “let’s make the world peaceful with sports.”

Since that era was just before the outbreak of World War I; there was a very disturbing atmosphere in which the world was fighting for its own country. A French educator named Baron Pierre de Coubertin who wanted to do something about it; but there was an Olympic Games in ancient Greece where he had the idea of a truce.

At that time; excavation was progressing; and it was a time when various things came out; so I knew that I was really doing it there. The International Olympic Committee was established with the idea that if we could regain the current era of holding a sports competition where we gather with weapons once every four years; we might be able to overcome the crisis that could lead to a state of war. It means that we will set up and create the Olympic Games. In the process; Coubertin himself drafted the International Olympic Charter in 1899; which became the basis of the Olympic Charter.

Tokyo Olympics 2020

The spirit is all about “sports and peace.” Iida) In the idea of ”peace in sports”; when you look at the history after that; the part that was at the mercy of various history … (1916) Berlin Olympics; 1940 Tokyo There is a history that the Olympics have been canceled; but did you have a part to learn from that; or a part to incorporate? Kasuga) The basic idea has not changed. In other words; peace once every four years To hold a festival of. Olympiad is once every four years; but the first year of Olympiad is the Olympics; and at least at that time the idea is to take a break; so I’m doing that … So; in Berlin in 1916; it was canceled in World War I.

In 1940; it was supposed to be done in Tokyo; but due to problems in Manchuria; militarism returned (held). After that; in 1944; it was not possible in World War II; and the reality is that it was not possible if there was a war. However; although it has not been done; I have left the number of Olympiads for a long time; and we have left “I want to do it; I want to tell you this truce”. In a sense; that also leads to the idea of anti-war. In that way; various problems are always fighting against society and the world; so it can be said that it is fighting against politics; but in that; we aim to connect people through sports with hope. The Olympic movement is that we have not given up on going.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Coronavirus Case Increases

An atmosphere of a certain Coronavirus hostility is undisguised; to the point that the Japanese have been encouraged; by their authorities; to denounce; on social networks; situations that they consider to be violations by foreign citizens.

Coronavirus

The rules are neither flexible nor stable; which has complicated the logistical and organizational tasks of all national missions; which are also victims of the chaos generated by the unprecedented situation.

The issue of vaccination – not mandatory; but “very recommendable” – even mobilized the International Olympic Committee (IOC); which contracted thousands of doses to be able to distribute them to the various national committees; since many countries still face difficulties in accessing them .

The competitive tabulation tables in various modalities underwent many changes; including adjustments; cancellations and postponements.

Coronavirus has also globally limited the conduct of doping tests in 2020 and this year; thereby increasing the danger of breaching competitive integrity.

The costs associated with the pandemic are not only organizational and emotional; as the financial part is not irrelevant: according to initial expectations; the postponement implied the reinforcement of the Japanese investment by around 2.3 billion euros; reaching the total 13 billion; making them the most expensive Games ever.

The mythical Michael Phelps; with an Olympic record of 23 gold medals in swimming; and Usain Bolt; with eight titles and the best world records in the 100 and 200 meters; leave the competition nostalgic; so it’s time for others to carve his name of Olympic immortality.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Typhoon Passage through Japan

A typhoon; which is expected to hit Tokyo early next week; is affecting the organization of certain Olympic Games events ; especially rowing; which had to reschedule “just in case” Monday’s competitions.

Tokyo Olympics 2020

According to the Japanese Meteorological Agency; typhoon Nepartak ; whose gusts can reach 90 kilometers per hour; was on Saturday about 1;800 kilometers south of Tokyo; but is moving towards the host city of the Games; where it will arrive before Tuesday -market.

The organizers of the rowing events; scheduled for until July 30; changed their Tokyo Olympics 2020 schedule; adding the events scheduled for Monday to the weekend schedule; predicting “strong winds and gusts”; not to mention a typhoon.

The International Sailing Federation (World Sailing); which for the time being maintains all of its regattas; which are due to start on Sunday; warned that “the races from July 26th to 28th could be affected” by this typhoon; classified on Friday as of level 8.

Officials Response

“Unlike an earthquake; we can guess the trajectory of a typhoon; which allows us to prepare in advance;” said Masa Takaya; spokesman for Tokyo-2020; adding that the Olympic Games “will take responsible measures”.

In the past; these violent storms have disrupted sporting events in the country; as it happened in 2019; when typhoon Hagibis hit Japan at the time it hosted the rugby World Cup. It killed more than 100 people and forced the tournament organizers to cancel three group stage matches.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Cyber Attacks Confirmed

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

Cyber Attacks

Early 20 years. An official from a cyber security company (US) sent us exchanges with Chinese hackers. It seems that he found it in the underground community of encrypted messaging apps where hackers gather; but there was such an exchange between hackers. “Let’s block the 2020 Tokyo Olympics so they can’t be held.” “We’ll soon have a difficult goal; but we’ll spend more time planning locally.

We’ll change our reconnaissance tactics.” “Who sets the goal?” Have you decided? Secure our goals. “” I’m heading deeper soon. If the content of the order changes; I’ll be instructed there. “” What do you think? ” However; he said; “I’m not surprised because the campaign has been confirmed for two years.”

Anyway; one of the purposes of these attacks is to undermine Japan’s reputation; lower its reputation around the world; and damage Japanese companies. In Japan; for example; most companies remain silent in the event of a cyberattack. However; after a while; he was overtaken by the media; and after that; he announced later that “information had been stolen” and apologized.

Tokyo Olympics 2020

Official website for the 2020 summer Olympic Games in Japan (23 Jul-8 Aug; 2021).

However; can foreign companies with intellectual property such as confidential information and advanced technology trust such Japanese companies? Can not. If such a response continues; many companies will not be dealt with; which in turn will affect the Japanese economy. Cyber troops such as China are aiming for that. And fortunately or unfortunately; the Tokyo Olympics will be extended by one year. However; that does not mean that cyber attacks will disappear. In 21 years; cyber attack campaigns have been confirmed again.

It cost about 30 million yen to replace about 70% of the servers and servers that may have been infected with the virus. ” It is surprising that the cyber attack a year ago will come out later in connection with the Tokyo Olympics; which is drawing attention from the world. “There was no information leak” due to the attack; but we had to replace the PC etc. at a cost of 30 million yen.

In other words; cyber It was destroyed by the attack. This was a ransomware (ransom-demanding virus) attack; but there was no demand for money (ransom). If so; it may have been a terrorist attack aimed at destroying the management side of the Olympic Games. It’s a ridiculous story. It’s really scary that people with such awareness are taking cyber measures for the Tokyo Olympics.

Will the Tokyo Olympics 2020 End “Safely”?

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

Security Issues

The architect changed due to the design problem of the new national stadium; French authorities moved on suspicion of bribery to attract; and the marathon venue suddenly moved to Hokkaido with the intention of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Due to the change; the new Corona was widespread; and musician Keigo Oyamada resigned from the opening ceremony composition due to past bullying problems.

Even though the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics has not started. Of particular concern to me is cyber attacks.

As the Olympic Games are approaching in 2021; I interviewed overseas cyber security experts about the attacks related to the Olympics. Then; the people concerned said; “Of course; and we are detecting the signs.” What kind of cyber attack will occur at the Tokyo Olympics?

Tokyo Olympics 2020

Official website for the 2020 summer Olympic Games in Japan (23 Jul-8 Aug; 2021).

Anyway; cyber attacks aimed at the Tokyo Olympics had begun from that time. However; this is not surprising; and when we talk to the person who was actually in charge of cyber security at the past Olympics; the attackers are in the case of the world tournament (Soccer World Cup etc.) which is held once every four years.

Two years before that; preparations for a cyber attack will begin. Attacks such as phishing emails targeting Japanese companies and individuals were being carried out; but some persistent attacks (campaigns) continued after that. In addition to being targeted at sponsor companies; it was also targeted at business partners of sponsor companies and companies related to the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC). During that time; I heard about the reality of cyber attacks on Japan from North Korean defectors living in South Korea.

Guinea gives up on participating in the Tokyo Olympics

The Guinean delegation will no longer participate in the Olympic Games in Tokyo ; informed this Wednesday (21) the minister of Sports of the African country; according to the agency France Presse (AFP).

Guinea

Local authorities say they made the decision to preserve the athletes’ health in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic — at a time when cases were recorded in athletes (read more at the end of the article) .

“Due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 variants; the government; concerned with protecting the health of Guinean sportsmen; decided with regret for the annulment of Guinea’s participation;” wrote Minister Sanoussy Bantama Sow.

As a result; Guinea is the second country among more than 200 to give up participation in the Tokyo Olympics. Also citing concerns about Covid-19; North Korea announced in April that it will not bring athletes to Japan . Samoan authorities have also decided that no athletes will travel from the country; in Oceania; to the Olympic venue; but athletes living in other countries will be able to compete.

Two days away from the Opening Ceremony; there is apprehension in Tokyo regarding the safety of athletes; delegations and city residents at a time of high in the Covid-19 cases. At least three athletes; among them some of the medal favorites; were withdrawn from the Games after testing positive for the coronavirus.

However; the director of the World Health Organization ( WHO ); Tedros Adhanom; said in a confident tone that the Olympic Games are a moment of hope and testing to show the world measures to prevent the virus . “There is no zero risk;” he said during an event in Tokyo.

Because of the pandemic; most competitions take place without any audience . In addition; everyone involved undergoes almost daily testing ; and it is estimated that more than 80% of athletes have been vaccinated against Covid.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Counting Down

Olympic Games in the Japanese capital should have been held last year; were postponed because of the covid-19 pandemic; but they go ahead even without a completely safe scenario.

Tokyo Olympics 2020

Tokyo Olympics 2020 will start. After many comings and goings; indecisions; protocols; tests and popular resistance; the Tokyo Olympic Games will officially start next Friday (23) with the opening ceremony. The competitions start before; on Wednesday (21); with Brazil already on the scene.

There will be 19 days of disputes until August 8th; when the last medals come out and the official closing occurs. A little over two weeks later; it will be the turn of the Paralympics; for another 13 days of Games; between August 24th and September 5th. It is worth remembering that the event was supposed to take place last year; but was postponed because of the pandemic.

The issue before the competitions started could not be anything other than concerns about covid-19. Especially after Japanese authorities were forced to relocate Tokyo and its surroundings under tighter restrictions; the so-called state of emergency. The measures are far from representing a lockdown and are more linked to opening hours of bars; restaurants and karaoke bars and the sale of alcoholic beverages. Another consequence is the impossibility of the presence of an audience in the arenas; which until then could receive 10;000 people or the equivalent of 50% of the capacity; whichever was smaller. To mitigate the consequences of the decision; the IOC ( International Olympic Committee) announced at a press conference on Saturday (17) that the arenas’ sound system will reproduce the sound of fans during the disputes.

The threat of the coronavirus hovered over the Brazilian judo team; which opted for a stopover in Hamamatsu before heading to Tokyo. The city is known as the most Brazilian in Japan and is constantly used by the team when they come to the Asian country; cradle of the sport; for training exchanges. Five cases of covid-19 were confirmed in hotel employees even before the arrival of the selection. Days later; however; the number went to seven; then nine and until this Sunday it was 11. The COB claims that no Brazilian was infected and that prevention measures were even stricter there.

Overall; cases in the capital continue to rise by Japanese standards. On Sunday (18) there were 1008; the fifth day in a row with four digits. Months ago; the intention of the authorities was to try to lower the number to the level of 300. As a result; the popularity of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga dropped to 35.9%; the lowest since he took office in August last year after he resigned. of Shinzo Abe on account of an intestinal disease. Certainly Suga will have a hard time reaping the rewards of the Games. In April; about 70% of Japanese have taken a stand against the holding of the Olympics now and; days ago; a group of four citizens came to court to try to stop the event; with no decision yet announced.

Coco Gauff tests positive for COVID-19, won’t play in Tokyo

Tennis player Coco Gauff announced today on Twitter that she has contracted covid-19 and will not participate in the Tokyo Olympics.

“I am very sad to announce that I have tested positive for covid-19 and will not be able to participate in the Olympic Games in Tokyo;” wrote the athlete.

Coco Gauff

Born to parents with NCAA Division I collegiate backgrounds in basketball and track and field; Gauff experimented with a variety of sports as a child. She chose tennis; inspired by the Williams sisters and preferring an individual sport.

Gauff made her WTA Tour debut in March 2019 at the Miami Open and won her opening match. She received a wildcard into the qualifying draw at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships where she became the youngest player in the tournament’s history to qualify for the main draw. She reached the fourth round; and each of her matches was the most-watched of the day through the first week of television coverage in the United States.

US Media Criticized The Bubble

The US media has scrutinized the weakness of the Tokyo Olympics, where new Covid positive individuals are seeming consistently from staff, competitors, and volunteers, while engaging for the wellbeing and security bubble technique. The US “Every day Beast” started with a complete reaction from the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) President Thomas Bach’s visit to Hiroshima, and he excused Bach’s “Chinese” comments and measures against crown.

As to free from any danger bubble technique that Chairman Bach and the Organizing Committee are pleased with, “The air pocket has effectively fallen. Competitors become positive after appearance, groups happen at the inn for the Olympics.

Staff are additionally contaminated and transport driving The hands have not been immunized. ” “The air pocket is just about as meager as a Sagami condom, however there is no spot that is pretty much as solid and dependable as the genuine article. Made in Japan arrangements can likewise flop wretchedly,” said a slender yet durable Japanese magnum opus. I reprimanded it while contrasting it and. Inability to contain the crown during the competition will probably shake trust in Japan itself.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Strict Caution Against Heat Stroke

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

Heat Stroke

The Tokyo Olympics; which will start on the 23rd; may be a record “hot” tournament compared to the summer Olympics held in the past. The highest temperature in central Tokyo has exceeded 33 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days until the 22nd. During the tournament; in addition to high temperatures; humid weather is expected to continue; and maximum caution against heat stroke is required.

In the Olympics since the 1984 Los Angeles Games; Tokyo has the highest average maximum temperature and the highest humidity during the Games. The US CNN broadcast announced in an electronic version on the 17th that this tournament could be “the hottest Olympics in decades.” In central Tokyo; the average maximum temperature is around 31 degrees Celsius at this time.

On the 19th; it recorded the highest temperature of 34.7 degrees this year; and the Meteorological Agency and others announced the first “heat stroke warning alert” of this year. The maximum temperature on the 23rd is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius; and the temperature for the next month or so will be higher than normal. In all the host cities after the Los Angeles Olympics; the average maximum temperature in August at that time was 31.8 degrees Celsius in Athens in 2004 and 30.6 degrees Celsius in Beijing in 2008.

Tokyo is comparable to both cities even at normal prices. Humidity; which is directly linked to the perceived “heat”; is also a dangerous factor; and in Tokyo; the high level of 70% continues even after the end of the rainy season. When the heat stroke warning alert was announced; a guideline was also given to stop or postpone the exercise in principle.

The Tokyo Organizing Committee; in collaboration with the Japan Meteorological Agency; prepares forecasts for the weather; temperature; heat index; etc. of all venues and communicates them to the people in charge of the competition and venues. With a view to suspending the competition or changing the schedule depending on the situation.

On the other hand; in addition to athletes; health management of staff who are active outdoors for a long time is also an issue; and coolants; drinks; salt supplement tablets; and ice cream will be provided.

Professor Hideto Tanaka of Yokohama National University; who is familiar with sports and heat stroke; said; “If the hot and humid conditions continue; it can be a dangerous environment for athletes even if there is no heat stroke warning alert.” indicate. He also cautioned volunteers; “It is essential to take a break at least once an hour to rehydrate and cool down.”

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – The Broken Bubble

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

The Broken Bubble

With the opening of the Tokyo Olympics on the 23rd, players and media from all over the world have gathered. In Tokyo, where the new coronavirus infection has spread again and is under a state of emergency. “We never bring the risk of corona,” said Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). But when you see the airport in the immigration rush, the grounds for that confidence must seem extremely thin.

On July 11, the day before the state of emergency was announced, a reporter (Kunieda) visited Haneda Airport Terminal 3. The arrival lobby for international flights was quiet with only about 30 volunteers and ushers waiting for the arrival of the team and staff.

Athletes entering the country and those involved in the Olympics are supposed to follow the “bubble method” that does not come into contact with outsiders. It seems that even if you come to Japan, you will live in a space that is separate from the space in which we live, but in English, “bubble” is a bubble like a soap bubble. I feel like it’s going to crack rather than snapping.

Tokyo Olympics 2020

There was an area prepared for Olympic officials and overseas media, but there is no partition like an acrylic board. It is separated by a black belt that is often used to organize lines at event venues. In other words, the only thing that separates us from them is a black belt with a width of a few centimeters printed with “TOKYO 2020”.

Moreover, it is dense. German tournament officials were waiting for guidance, but the partitions were narrow and close to each other. Not far from 1 meter. “You said yesterday that you shouldn’t go inside.” The guide woman is paying attention to the young man. Seems confused.

Two women carrying bags with the logo “England England” walked in front of them. Are you going to the bathroom or to buy coffee? The place to charge your cell phone is all outside the bubble.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – So Many Contradictions

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

So Many Contradictions

With the decision to issue the fourth state of emergency to Tokyo; the venues of Tokyo; Saitama; Chiba; and Kanagawa will all hold unattended spectators for the Tokyo Olympics; which will start on July 23. It is said that it has been decided.

It was decided by a five-party talk with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and a council with related local governments; and today’s newspapers also said “Olympic 1 metropolitan area 3 prefectures unattended; emergency decision in Tokyo” (Yomiuri) ) And other titles are reported in the top article on page 1.

However; Miyagi; Fukushima; and Shizuoka prefectures other than the 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures allow up to 10;000 spectators within 50% of the capacity; and Ibaraki prefecture allows children to watch the game under the “School Cooperation Watching Program”. exclusive. In addition; there are variations in judgments about local venues; such as saying that Hokkaido is “under consideration”; and confusion is normal due to a sense of unfairness.

Today’s Asahi said; “The end of the spectator stray”; “The possibility of” spectators “in the host city that the government; Tokyo; and the Games Organizing Committee have explored to the last minute has disappeared in turmoil.” .. Every day; under the heading “IOC irresponsible exposure; without discussing whether or not to hold the event;” he said; “We will continue to prepare for the event on the spot while dividing domestic public opinion.” On the social side; he asked; “How do people perceive the global festivals that are in the face of restricted daily life;” as “the Olympics of contradictions in emergencies; anger at’alcohol restrictions’and’no spectators'”? There is.

Also; the “Special News Department” in Tokyo; which is called the “Olympic Games of Safety and Security Contradictions;” is interesting. “The Olympics is under the state of emergency. In the proof that Corona was’not able to win’;” he said; “Isn’t the most effective infection prevention measure now the’Declaration to cancel the Olympics’?”.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 VS “Anti-Olympic Movement”

It was revealed that organizing the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was a big challenge; and athletes and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) expressed worries to the Games Organizing Committee; which is in charge of management.

“Anti-Olympic Movement”

On June 23; one month before the opening of the Olympics; there was a large crowd in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office. It was a protest calling for the cancellation of the tournament. Eight domestic organizations; including the “Anti-Olympic Games” and the “Olympic Disaster” Notice Liaison Committee. We also kept in touch with residents of Paris; the venue for 2024; and Los Angeles; and gave a simultaneous demonstration of “NOlympic Day.”

This day was “Olympic Day” to commemorate the establishment of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on June 23; 1894. Concerts and jogging events are setup in various places every year; but this year it is not under the corona. Meanwhile; a “No Olympics” rally was held. The PR leaflets were lined with radical words; such as “What to do or’Sacrifice Festival'” and “The Olympics will kill us!” At a protest rally; the organizer’s woman criticized the Olympics forcibly held under Corona with a microphone in her hand.

The residents of the Toei Kasumigaoka apartment; which to build the national stadium; and the disaster-stricken area of the nuclear accident; which has not ended even after 10 years while holding up the “Reconstruction Olympics;” are mentioned as “Now; the torch relay is fully commercialized. I’m traveling all over the country. I want to raise the voice of “Stop the Olympics” with my friends all over the world. ” There have been numerous examples of movements against the Olympics.

The most famous case is Denver; Colorado; the 1976 Winter Olympics. Opposition to the event arguing environmental destruction and excessive tax burden. To return the tournament four years ago; and is to hold an alternative event in Innsbruck; Austria. At the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics; the Alpine skiing men’s downhill course moved from Mt. Iwasuge in Shiga Kogen to Happoone in Hakuba in response to criticism from nature conservation groups.

The opinions of the International Ski Federation; and the Organizing Committee argued over whether the starting point; can be setup in a special area in the national park; and it became a big problem. In recent years; some cities have abandoned their candidacy due to the opposition of residents in the bid for the Olympics. Hamburg; Rome and Budapest withdrew at the 2012 Summer Olympics. In Hamburg; and Rome canceled the bid with the change of mayor. In Budapest; the voice of the opposition is to have become a big swell. In each case; there was concern about the huge financial burden.

Tokyo Olympics 2020 – Coronavirus

The XXXII Olympic Games in history will be marked by the covid-19 pandemic; which forced the unprecedented postponement for a year; banned spectators in competitions; and promises to make Tokyo2020 a bizarre competition.

Coronavirus

The coronavirus should turn the biggest sporting event in the world into a strange futuristic thriller; full of restrictions and sanitary care; without the public to welcome the champions; nor the freedom for the participants to celebrate what the Olympic Games; have of most important: an enriching one celebration between peoples and cultures; while challenging the limits of the human body’s potential.

The approximately 11;000 athletes in search of Olympic glory will not be able to celebrate it as they deserve; because on the stands there will be no one to exult in their achievements: first; the foreign public was banned; so as not to spread the pandemic; and then; face to a new state of emergency in the Japanese capital; the Japanese themselves were denied the possibility of properly commemorating Tokyo2020.

The sports venues; which were allowed to have audiences; up to 50% of their capacity; with a limit of 10;000 spectators; will now have their stands stripped.

With no public to support and a society that has repeatedly demonstrated against the holding of the Olympic Games; the organization was left to tighten the rules; for everyone; thus trying to prevent the Olympic legacy from becoming an even greater nightmare for Japan.

Fearing the worst; a ‘bubble’ event is being promoted; with all participants wrapped in an unwanted straightjacket; inhibiting the usual contagious enthusiasm of this global event.

Despite the fact that most of those present; are already vaccinated and are regularly tested; the athletes cannot socialize with the other delegations; nor even support; in person; their mission colleagues; in that spirit of union that often leads to the desired resilience.
